Our revolutionary , one-week program is crafted to empower youth and enhance the media literacy and digital citizenship skills of kids aged 10 to 12. Our interactive program delivers hands-on learning experiences that teach the latest technologies and innovations in a fun and engaging manner.
Over the course of five days, participants will participate in dynamic activities that not only educate them on how media, social media, and technology companies influence and manipulate their attention, but also equip them with the skills and knowledge to make informed decisions about their online behavior.
Our program is designed to provide a lasting impact, promoting the development of essential skills that will stay with the youth long after the program has ended.
Each day will have a different theme, and activities will be designed to help young people to develop their critical thinking skills and media literacy.
Day 1: Understanding Social Media Manipulation
In this session, young people will learn about the tactics used by social media companies and advertisers to capture and manipulate their attention.
Activities will include a media literacy quiz and a group discussion on how to evaluate the credibility of online information.
Day 2: Identifying Time Management Power
In this session, young people will learn about the importance of managing their time effectively and setting boundaries for their social media use.
Activities will include a time audit exercise and a group discussion on strategies for setting and achieving goals.
Day 3: Setting SMART Goals
In this session, young people will learn about the SMART goal-setting framework and how to apply it to their social media use.
Activities will include a goal-setting workshop and a group discussion on strategies for staying motivated and on track.
Day 4: Building Positive Social Media Habits
In this session, young people will learn about the impact of social media on their mental health and well-being and strategies for building positive social media habits.
Activities will include a self-reflection exercise and a group discussion on strategies for managing social media-related stress and anxiety.
Day 5: Using, Creating and Sharing Media Responsibly
In this session, young people will learn about digital citizenship and how to create and share media responsibly.
Activities will include a workshop on how to create a podcast and a group discussion on online privacy and security.
